Calvin Dillon

DILLON Calvin Dillon, age 87, of Columbus, Ohio, and formerly of Dingess, WV, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 12, 2012, surrounded by family and went home to be with his Lord and family that has passed before him. Calvin was born on March 14, 1925, to the late Walter and Rosie (Canterbury) Dillon. He was retired from Celanese Plastics, Hilliard, Ohio. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Lucy (Finley) Dillon, brothers Herman and Paul Dillon, sisters Dorothy Deskins, Loretta Beckett and Lorraine Dillon. He is survived by his children, Beulah (Herbert) Sparks, Kennith (Connie) Dillon; grandchildren, Brian (Alyson) Gibson, Angie (Ed) Summers, Jennifer Messinger and Brandy (Dominic) Spiess; great-grandchildren, Ronny Biser, Bayleigh Gibson, Jared, Clayton and Dillon Messinger, Mackenzie and Morgan Spiess; sisters, Gracie Sturgill, Maudie Tomlin, Dicie Charles, Nora Conn, Juanita Parsley; brother, Walter (Peaches) Dillon; numerous nieces and nephews; special friends, Shaun, Amanda and Bradleigh. The family will receive friends from 1-3 and 6-8 p.m. on Friday June 15, at O. R. WOODYARD CO. CHAPEL, 1346 S. High Street, where the funeral service will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. with Rev. Jim Holbrook officiating. Calvin will be laid to rest beside his loving wife, Lucy, in Obetz Cemetery. The family would like to thank Mt.
