Dewey L. Barr, 86, of Westerville, died Dec. 9, 2019 at his home. Retired from GE Superabrasives in Worthington. Survived by wife, Marcella Daugherty Barr. Visitation 2-5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 15, at HOSKINSON Funeral Home, 285 East Main Street in Kirkersville, and from 10-11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 16, at Grace Lutheran Church, 65 East Columbus Street, Thornville, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. For a complete obituary visit www.HoskinsonFuneral.com

Dewey Barr was a quintessential gentleman and wonderful human being. I met Dewey when I came to GE Superabrasives as the new registered nurse to set up a 24 hour clinic. He was my boss with regard to safety. He was such a wise man and I just loved being around him. Although, I did not stay in that position very long and moved out of GE, I never forgot him. I know that he had a loving family and was always there for them. I recall him mixing his cholesterol granules at lunch and never liking it. My best to his wife and family. He was one in a million.
