I was shocked and saddened by the news of this. Herb was such a kind soul. He always had a smile and a funny story to tell. Herb was a lovely man and he will forever be missed. I pray for peace and comfort to the hearts of his family. God be with you all.

During my five years working at DeVry University in Columbus, I saw Herb most every day in the hallway. I've always remembered his friendly smile and positive outlook. What a rare gem he was! I consider it a privilege to have been acquainted with him.
My deepest sympathies are extended to his family.

I was a student and have worked at DeVry for many years with Herb. He was so loved by everyone that knew him. I hope his family knows how much his Devry family truly loved and appreciated his smile and kind welcomes. My heart is very heavy today. God has truly taken one of his brightest angels home.

I remember him as the janitor at Mt. Olivet. When my daughter started kindergarten at Mt. Olivet, Mr. Foster took a lot of her pictures. I still have the cardboard bust he did of her. she is 24 years old now. RIP.

To my family; Lois, Myron, Lisa, Marlon, and Sherry, there are no words to express during the loss of your friend and father but know that he is no longer suffering and he is resting. Herbert was a wondeful man, cousin, and a fantastic photographer. I will always remember his smile and distinctive voice. Prayers to you all.

HERBERT FOSTER AND I GRADUATED IN THE JANUARY CLASS 1954. HE WAS VICE PRESIDENT OF OUR SENIOR CLASS. THAN IN 1956 HE TOOK PHOTOS OF OUR MARRIAGE, 56 YEARS AGO. HE WILL BE MISSED BY ALL HE CAME IN CONTACT WITH. OUR PRAYERS GOES OUT TO HIS FAMILY.
