Elbert Murry Walls

Mr. Elbert Murry Walls, age 74, died at his home in Colt on Monday, March 4, 2024.
Mrs. Walls was born Dec. 20, 1949, in Victoria, Ark. He was the son of Murry J. Walls and Floris E. Smith Walls. Mr. Walls had worked as a mechanic and retired from Boar's Head as a maintenance person. He was a Baptist.
Mr. Walls married Mary Catherine Sesti in 1972 and she survives him along with a daughter, Doris Malone and husband, Johnny, of Brickeys; a son, Ernest Walls of Crenshaw, Miss.; three sisters, Emma Dean McGregory of Colt, Ruby Dale Gilmer of Marion and Judy F. McNeil of Albany, Miss. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Kimberly A. Walls (Logan), Kaylie E. Malone and Maddie M. Herrington and two great-grandchildren, Journee and Ava, along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends. He is also survived by dear friends, Rex A. Hedrick and Ramona, Kenny D. Eldred and Mattie, Patricia Blaylock and Michael, and Christina Rodriguez and Joe.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Jonathan D. Walls.
A celebration of life will be held Sunday, March 10, 2024, at 2 p.m., at Stevens Funeral Home.
