Emerita Allen Obituary

With humble acceptance of God's will, we announce the passing of District Missionary Emerita Mildred McFadden Allen of Colt on April 4, 2024. She died peacefully at home at the age of 78.
She was a graduate of Lincoln High School, Class of 1963. Serving in several facets of ministry, she was an Evangelist Missionary at Zion Temple Church of God in Christ and District Missionary Emerita for the Arkansas First Jurisdiction Wynne District. Having taught in the public schools for many years, she was a retired educator for the Forrest City School District. Missionary Allen was well known for her singing and evangelism.
She was the beloved daughter of the late Sam Crawley McFadden and Mildred Emerson-McFadden. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Herman McFadden, Jesse Eugene McFadden, Sam McFadden, Crawley McFadden and Howard McFadden.
She leaves to cherish and celebrate her life her beloved husband of 59 years, Willie B. Allen; a supportive and loving daughter and son, Carreather Coleman (Alvin) of Colt and W. Bryan Allen (Christy) of Birmingham, Ala.; nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren with one on the way, and siblings, James McFadden, Melvin McFadden and Tyrone McFadden (HenryEtt).
Visitation will be held Friday, April 19, 2024, from 4 to 6 p.m., at Zion Temple Church of God in Christ, located at 3538 SFC 239 in Colt.
The funeral service will be held Saturday, April 20, 2024, at 11 a.m., 15th Street Church of God in Christ, located at 121 S. 15th Street in West Memphis. Dr. Alvin Coleman Jr. will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Clark Cemetery, located at 2500 SFC 236 in Colt.
McNeal-Coleman Funeral Home of Brinkley is in charge of arrangements.
