Gertrude Sohn Obituary
Mrs. Sohn was born Oct. 12, 1935 in Weyauwega, Wisc., the daughter of Roy and Mamie Prill Jonely. She lived in St. Francis County the past 36 years and retired in 2013 from the State of Arkansas Child Support Enforcement Office. Mrs. Sohn was a member of Graham Memorial Presbyterian Church in Forrest City where she served as an Elder.
Mrs. Sohn married Robert "Bob" Sohn in 1958 and he preceded her in death in 2014. She was also preceded in death by her parents, an infant son, Michael Robert Sohn and a brother, Kenneth Jonely.
She is survived by a daughter, Carolyn Sohn of Prairie Grove; a son, David Sohn of Forrest City; one sister, Carol Goodman of Appleton, Wisc.; a sister-in-law, Alice Jonely of New London, Wisc.; three grandchildren, Jacob Sohn and Carly Sohn, both of Fayetteville, and Jenna Sohn of Marianna.
Visitation will begin at 1 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2018, before the funeral service at Stevens Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Burial will follow at a later date in Weyauwega, Wisc.
The family requests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society or the Graham Memorial Presbyterian Church, 402 Dillard, Forrest City, AR 72335.
