PRINCETON - Debbie Morris died Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2025, at the caring establishment of Ray & Kay Eckstein Hospice Center. Born on June 4, 1952, in Providence, Debbie's journey evidenced a life rich in love, family, and genuine pleasure in the simplicities of everyday existence.
Debbie's marriage of 47 years stood as a testament to enduring love. She was a devoted mother to her cherished son, Michael, and held a special place in her heart for her daughter-in-law, Stephanie, both of Princeton. She is survived by her sister, Sherry Benton of Providence; and her brother, Jackie Benton, alongside his wife, Debbie, of Draffenville. Debbie also cherished her nephews, Matthew with his wife Abigail of Henderson, and Ronnie with his wife Jennifer of Ft. Knox, along with several other nieces and nephews.
Debbie was preceded in death by her parents, Virgil Archie and Helen Matilda Bradley Benton; and brothers, Archie Benton and Larry Yarbrough.
Prior to embracing her fulfilling role as a child care worker, where she took joy in nurturing young minds from infancy until school age, Debbie was employed as a line worker at Arvin Industry and later at Bremner Industry. Her retirement did not diminish her zest for life; she reveled in the stubborn strategies of solitaire, her skills unmatched. Debbie's passion for sports echoed through the cheers for her favorite teams, the Kansas City Chiefs and the Atlanta Braves, and her contentment was during her leisurely strolls through antique shops-a hunt for nostalgia, a tribute to past times.
In the tapestry of memories, Debbie's threads are vibrant and unforgettable. Her family mourns the loss of a wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend, whose influence will perpetuate through the echoes of love and kindness she left in her wake. The world is undeniably brighter for having been graced by Debbie Morris, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Graveside services were held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25, 2025, at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church Cemetery, 1124 Pleasant Valley Road, Providence, KY 42450. Ronnie Sivells officiated.
