Carol Lettenmaier Obituary
Carol Christine Lettenmaier was born on April 26, 1938 in Valley City, ND, the daughter of Alfred and Christine (Munz) Lettenmaier. She grew up in the Sanborn area and attended rural school. She was a graduate of Sanborn High School class of 1956.
On September 14, 1957, she married Darrel Lettenmaier in Sanborn. They made their home near Sanborn until moving into town in 1964. In 2010, they moved to Valley City. Darrel died on May 23, 2010.
Carol was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Valley City. She was a member of the Forget-Me-Nots birthday club for 51 years. She liked sewing, knitting, crafts and baking. There were two things that Carol always enjoyed, first was sitting on the election board and the other was celebrating the 4th of July.
She is survived by her son, Terry, Valley City; daughters, Debbra Lettenmaier, Fargo, Patricia (Dave Moll) Pitts, Minneapolis, MN, and Shelly (Kent) Kosse, Valley City; grandchildren, Tyler (Jenn Larson) Kosse, Joshua (Jess Blaser) Pitts, and Alisa (Brandon) Kosse Rakoczy; great grandchildren, Ava, Avery, Arianna, Addison and Kason; two brothers, Larry (Mary) Lettenmaier, Otsego, MN, Ken Lettenmaier, Moorhead, MN; and a sister, Gail (Orville) Hanson, Moorhead.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents, husband and two brothers, Wesley and Dwayne.
