Alyson Ruth Pettit

Alyson was born April 30, 1968, went to be with the Lord August 2, 2010. She was born and raised in Humboldt County, Calif. all or her life. She was preceded in death by her dad Neil Pettit, brother Brian Pettit, grandfather Tug Pettit and grandmother Ruth Pettit. She is survived by her daughter Shayla Pettit, son Paul Roslosnic, mother Neoma Pettit, sister Judy Walker, brother Steven and Darren Pettit and many uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins and in-laws. They shared many family gatherings at the Pettit home with a house full of friends, too! Alyson loved horses, dogs, camping, rodeo, the river, and spending time with her friends. She liked camping with the family at her uncle Al's property at Ruth Lake. She has rode horses all of her life, starting when she was a baby on her Dad's horse, Hot Lightening. She did many gymkhanas winning lots of trophies and ribbons. She rode for the Nightriders drill team and in the summers she did trail rides up the Mad River with Laurie and Leslie and later trial rides with Shayla around there home. They also did rides on the beach together. A celebration of life, in memory of Alyson Pettit, will be held August 14, 2010, at 1:00 PM at Coastline Foursquare Church, HWY 101 and Indianola cut off.
