Edward was a delight to be around at OIT as he was pursuing his surveying interests. He spent many visits in my office going over homework and telling stories of his BLM employment. And his music knowledge was top notch. He will be missed.

My family and I had the pleasure of meeting Edward when we first moved to Eureka in 1997. He truly loved my children and often went on long hikes with our family and dog in the Redwoods and along the coast. Edward was a true friend who upon hearing someone needed help would always say "when" and never asked why. Our family friendship continued for many years until he eventually moved away to Oregon. For a couple years after that he would stop by during a break from his work and visit with us for a couple days. We will remember fondly our time spent with Edward and how much he added to our lives. You were a great man and we will truly miss you.
