Joan George Obituary
Our Mother, Joan Pearl George joined our Father, Jerry Bert George in Heaven on December 10, 2021.
She is survived by 5 siblings- Catherine, John, Nancy, Sam, and Donald. 5 children- Blenda, Wanda, Carol, Ernie and Terri, 22 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 siblings, 2 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
She was a loving wife and stay-at-home mother/ grandmother until Jerry's death at which time she moved from California to Washington then went to work at Seiku Lodge as a hostel for a short time, the Ranier Outdoor Sportswear as a seamstress and lastly at an Oneida Store as a clerk until she retired and moved to Idaho.
She was a seamstress her whole adult life for her family and a quilter in her later years. She loved to travel and visit family. She She will be greatly missed. We Love You Mom. There will be a graveside service held at the Greenwood Cemetery at 11am on July 23, 2022 with a Reception Lunch at the Arcata Redwood Park. Look for a large strawberry on a blanket, that will be us.
