Mike Wallace

Mike Wallace 1936-2013 Mike passed away March 6, 2013 surrounded by family, song, prayer and love. He was born and raised in Toledo, Oregon. Mike served in the U.S. Army from 1954 until 1957. In Novermber of 1957, he married Donna Helms and moved to Maple Creek, Ca, where he worked at the saw mill. Mike worked at both Sacchi's and Mac's body shop before opening his own "Mike's Body Shop" in 1972. He later sold real estate with Moser Realty until his retirement in 1988. Mike loved having a family and thoroughly loved raising his five children. He enjoyed family reunions, camping, friends, and huntingwinning the "Big Buck" contest in 1969. Mike and Donna built their home in Burnt Ranch, CA, over looking the Trinity River. Mike is survived by his wife of 55 years, Donna, and his children: Laurie, Montie, Carrie, Roger, Leslie, their spouses, 18 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren. A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, April 13, 3:00 pm at the McKinleyville Seventh day Adventist Church.
