Norman Blackburn Obituary

Norman Blackburn

1935-2022

"…he fought the good fight, he finished the race, he kept the faith…"

Norman was born in Bell, CA and left us to "dance with Angels and Jesus" in Redding, CA. He lived in southern CA in his younger years, moving north to graduate from San Juan High School in Carmichael, CA. After a brief college career, he served in the United States Marine Corps in Korea. He worked multiple jobs over the years, perhaps his most favorite as a commercial fisherman off the coast of Eureka, CA in the 1980's.
Norman lived with his wife Marilyn (42 years) in Eureka and Weaverville, CA, retiring to Yuma, AZ, Las Vegas, NV, and finally Redding, CA.
Norman is survived by his wife Marilyn, daughters, Teresa (John), Angela (Keven), Lisa (deceased), and son Richard (Wendy). He loved his multiple grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He leaves behind best friend Clyde, sister Pat, and brothers Mike (deceased) and Charlie.
Per Norman's request, no service is planned. He would like you to hug your loved ones and put your faith in Our Lord.
A celebration of life will be held during the summer and those who knew and loved Norm will be notified of the date and time.
