Pauline Bandy

Pauline M. Bandy, age 100, passed away on May 26, 2010 in Fresno, CA. Pauline was born on April 23, 1910 in Crescent City, CA. Shortly after she married the love of her life, Bud Bandy, the couple moved to Eureka, CA where they raised their two children, Bob and Jim Bandy. Pauline worked as a bookkeeper at E.W. Pierce Co. and McGaraghan's before retiring in the 1970s. She enjoyed spending time with her family, loving her dogs, playing Bridge or Cribbage, and watching baseball, especially the Giants. She especially loved See's chocolate and was rarely without a box on her coffee table. After her son, Bob, passed away in 2005, she moved to Fresno to be closer to her grandson. Family and friends from all over California, gathered just a few weeks ago to celebrate her 100th birthday. Pauline was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Wayne "Bud" Bandy, her sons, James Bandy and Charles Robert "Bob" Bandy. She is survived by her grandson, Michael Bandy and his wife, Beth, her granddaughter, Janet Anderson, and grandchildren, Michael Bandy, Jr. and Ryan Thompson, Sara Frayer Shahid and Eric Frayer. She will be laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Park, but, at her request, there will be no services. It is suggested that memorial contributions, in lieu of flowers, be made to one's favorite charity.
