Peter Kotko

January 10, 1953- March 5, 2011 Peter was born in 1953 in Germany to Andre and Anna Kotko. He later moved to Sacramento where he grew up with his many siblings. He attended and graduated from Washington High School. Peter then went on to college, but subsequently left school and joined the Air Force during the Vietnam War. He later served with distinction and great pride in the secret service and on board Air Force One. After 21 years he relocated to Rio Dell. An old friend got Peter a job at Fernbridge Tractor where later became parts manager. He found the second love of his life in Rhonda Arrowsmith and they married in 2004 and she stayed by his side until the end. Peter held his children and grandchildren close to his heart and would do most anything for them. He was an avid fisherman, gardener and hunter. After battling cancer bravely multiple times he finally lost the battle on March 5, 2011. He is survived by his four sons, two daughters and eight grandchildren. We love you dearly. We miss you so, but in our hearts we also know, you wish no tears, you wish no sorrow, you would rather we all look forward to a bright tomorrow. Strong, gentle, loving and kind, these are the memories Peter leaves behind. So forward, so honest, blunt and true, this is the man we all loved and knew. Services for Peter will be held on Friday, March 11, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. at Goble's Fortuna Mortuary. Private committal services with military honors will be held at the Sacramento Valley Veteran's Cemetery in Dixon, California at a later date.
