Dear Grandpa,
You loved and touched so many people's souls with your humor and guidance. You have your youth again! I know you are taking some softball swings, having a good time teasing family and friends who passed before you. However, I know this world isn't the same without you, because you were someone that always challenged others to be happier, smarter and better people. I do miss the earthly you, but I know I will see you again, and that alone brings me peace and a smile to me.
With Love From Your Grandson,
Josh

We both visited Roy many, many times over the past year and enjoyed our encounters tremendously. He always had the quick, smart quip or remark to tease us both into laughter and enjoyment of each other. We did a number of spontaneous shopping trips at the request of Roy; maybe to pick up a Chinese lunch or something else for he and Betty.
We will miss you and really enjoyed our 2 to 3 time weekly visitations. Clear the road for us Roy; eventually, the Good Lord willing, we hope to join you for more rib-ticklers.

I'll always remember Roy with smiles: the smile on his face, and the smile on mine. From the first time I batted in a softball game, with him catching behind the plate, he always shook my hand and was quick with a clever quip. We missed him on the ball field when he was no longer able to play, but he often showed up to watch, always with his wonderful sense of humor and ready laugh. We'll all miss Roy's positive outlook, his genuine friendliness, and his love of life.

To Betty, Anne, Bill, & all the family. We will miss answering the phone & hearing "Hey Cuz!" Roy was really "One of a kind!" and will be missed. I don't think anyone had a better sense of humor.
Our love to all,
Don & Judy
