Jeff, Joel, Jay and families, we will all miss Vivian terribly. Mostly the long phone call visit from her, after she received one of our holiday cards. She knew more about our family Swedish heritage than many of our relatives did. Many days I would visit with Vivian after school, waiting for a ride home after various school sport practices.

My heart felt condolences go out to the family, on this woman I loved so very much. She was so special. To think that she and I were very very distant cousins, from 2 brothers who had immigrated from Finland to Sweden in the early 1600 hundreds. And then that 2 decendants of them, should emigrate to America some 300 years later, my mother and Vivian's father, to Arcata. She will be in my heart the rest of my days.

I didn't know Vivian but wanted to send my condolences to the family nevertheless. Loved the part of the obituary where she was able to cast her last vote which was for Hillary as my father many years ago was able to cast his last vote two days before he passed. It is legal here in California as it should be. God bless all of you. Vivian sounded like someone I would have liked to have known as our interests are so alike.

It has been a pleasure to know Vivian. I will miss her delightful spirit and her uncanny ability to remember the history of the Arcata community. Those of us fortunate to have her in our lives have been privileged to have known a very special individual. She was a blessing to know. My condolences to the family and friends. The memories of time spent with her make me smile. what a treat.
