Theodore Chartier Obituary

BARRE - Theodore W. Chartier, 59, of Barre, died Friday, May 2, 2014, at his home.

He was born in Barre on Dec. 28, 1954, the son of the late Raymond and Anna (Rhen) Chartier.

After graduating from U-32 High School in 1972, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy, serving from 1973 to 1977.

He was an independent contractor in the construction trade, specializing in wood restoration, carpentry and maintenance.

Survivors include two daughters, Narelle Chartier, of Burlington, and Roxanna Bryce, of Essex; and two grandchildren. He was also survived by three brothers, Michael Fitch, of Vernon, Bernard Chartier, of Rutland, and Phillip Chartier, of Barre; three sisters, Nancy Munson, of Jaffrey, New Hampshire, Patricia Clark, of Wells River, and Judy Chartier, of Barre; and many nieces and nephews.

To honor his wishes, there will be no calling hours or funeral service.

Arrangements are in the care of the Pruneau-Polli Funeral Home, 58 Summer St. in Barre.
