CHRISTOPHER N. WILSON Christopher N. Wilson, age 41, of Ohio City, passed away on Monday, September 17, 2025. Born on September 8, 1984, in Van Wert, Chris was a beloved son, father, brother, and friend who touched the lives of many throughout his journey. Chris was a proud graduate of Vantage Career Center and built a life dedicated to serving others through his work as a truck driver. As the owner and operator of W Bar Ranch Trucking, he took immense pride in hauling livestock across the state, a passion that defined his career until he faced challenges in 2017 due to a car accident. A devoted father, Chris's children, Wyatt and Pearl, were the driving force in his life, and he cherished every moment spent with them. He was known for his adventurous spirit, especially his love for hunting. Chris had also been a member of the Ohio Cattlemen's Association. Chris is survived by his children, Wyatt Wilson and Pearl Wilson; his mother and step-father, Brenda Wise (Wilson) and Ken Wise of Van Wert; his father, Jeffrey Wilson of Willshire, Ohio; his sister, Jenna (Noah Altenburger) Strayer of Delphos; and nieces and nephews, Gus Strayer, Mack Altenburger, and Blair Altenburger. He leaves behind not only family but a vast network of loyal friends from across the state, who will cherish their memories of his kindness and unwavering loyalty. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Harvey and Joan Simpson, Jr, his paternal grandparents, Jack and Wilma Wilson, and an infant brother, John Wilson. In celebrating the life of Christopher N. Wilson, friends and family will gather to honor Chris's legacy from 3:00-7:00 PM on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at the Van Wert Elks Lodge #1197, with a prayer service at 4:00 PM with Rev. Ron Johnson, officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Chris's children, in care of Jenna Strayer. Online condolences may be expressed at www.alspachgearhart.com.
