Helen Snavely Obituary

HELEN ANN SNAVELY Our Beloved Mother and Grandmother Helen Ann (Kahler) Snavely, 81, left this Earthly home to be with our Lord, suddenly, on January 30, 2025. Helen was born on March 12, 1943, in Lima, Ohio, to the late Martha J. (Melson) Kahler and Ferald F. Kahler. All of her Aunts, Uncles, and 2 ex-husbands also preceded her in death.    Helen is survived by her Children, Pamela Jewel-Rusk (Gary), David J. Jewel (Lizabeth), Ann M. Jewel (Bill), Chad E. Snavely (Genia), Tara L. Snavely Bennett (Michael); Sister, Mary Bass and Brother, Donald Kahler.  Helen also has 14 Grandchildren: Amy Johns (Ricky), Donna Jordan (Martin), Logan Jewel (Brooke), Jared Rusk, Jayme Jewel-Huston (Kyle), Whitney Jewel-Hunt (Vallace), Courtney Jewel-Salinas (Joe), Grace Jewel, Jessika Donnell (Scott), Robert Radel (Amanda), Katelyn Radel, Joshua McBride, Nathan Bennett (Shanece), Cole Bennett, (Iremi)   and 25 Great Grandchildren, plus many Nieces and Nephews.    Helen loved and was loved very much by her family. She also loved animals, plants, fishing, collecting rocks, and her flower garden. She was always very creative and loved to crochet, knit, make jewelry, and crafts, and was an excellent seamstress. She would sketch and doodle in her younger years, even painting a few wall murals in previous homes. She was also an avid reader and loved to play video and computer games. She always retained her creative spark and sense of humor.    She worked varied jobs during her life, including Office Manager, Seamstress, and Entrepreneur, and later in life, Wal-Mart Fabric Department.    Helen also cared for her mother, for many years, until she passed. She was a very private and independent person with immense patience and perseverance. Helen was a kind, caring and gentle soul who will be dearly missed by her family until we are reunited again.    Services are to be held at a later date. Online condolences may be expressed at www.alspachgearhart.com.   Arrangements have been entrusted to Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory, 722 S. Washington St, Van Wert, Ohio.

She bent over backwards and would go through hell for Me. She never took sides and would protect Her children fiercely. She loved My Daughter and grandkids like they were her own. She never let me down and always stood up for Me. I felt Her unconditional motherly love and support always. She treated me so well I felt like I was her favorite, but she would never take sides. I hope she's where she receives what she deserves. I'm sure she's happy with how great her children turned out to be. I hope she's with her first husband that she deserves and wishes to be with again sometime. She was a good ol girl! Sadly missed.

I really didn't know Helen, but I know that my brother and sister does and I hope she's resting peacefully in heaven
