Mary Alice Lienert

Mary Alice Lienert passed away peacefully on March 21, 2023 in her home surrounded by her family after living 97 wonderful years. She was born in Buffalo, NY where she later met and married her best friend and husband Robert Lienert. Together, they enjoyed the opportunity to live many places around the country including New York, Connecticut, Maryland, Colorado, California, and Arizona while raising their family of five children. The Lienerts picked Colorado for their retirement where they enjoyed hiking and cross-country skiing and Mary Alice created amazing oil paintings of the Colorado scenery. Her superpower was her gentleness and grace. She was a wonderful listener and wise about when to speak and when to simply listen and support. She will live on through the ways she instilled this quiet spirit in her children, grandchildren and beyond. Mary Alice was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Robert, and her one sibling, Helen. She is survived by her five children: Bob, Mary Clague, Phil, Bruce, and Marsha Townsend, ten grandchildren, and six great grandchildren. At Mary Alice's request, no funeral has been planned.
