Kathy Jones

Kathy Jones, 75, of Ellijay, peacefully passed away on Thursday, Oct. 23, 2025. She was preceded in death by father, Bob Watkins; mother, Ann Watkins; sisters, JoAnn Watkins and Wanda Hill.

Survivors include her beloved family, husband of 58 years, Gary Jones, of Ellijay; daughter, Kari (Todd) Allen, of Fairmount; daughter, Brett Jones, of Ellijay; and son, Brian (Jenn) Jones, of Ellijay; grandchildren, Mallori Jones, Connor Thompson, Adrian Thompson, Carter Jones and Carsyn Jones and great-grandchildren, Josie Champion and Rand Jones.

She was born Feb. 26, 1950, in Marietta and grew up in Acworth. She was a devoted and faithful member of Harvest Missionary Church. She lived a long, productive, faithful and fulfilled life, and her greatest joy was her family. She was a strong, kind, generous, driven and compassionate lady who shared those and many other gifts and talents with her family and friends.

Her pride and joy was her family. She was a devoted wife to the love of her life, mother to her three children, and the best "Nana" to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Everyone who knew Kathy, whether family, friends, business associates or acquaintances, has been enriched by her life.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Oct. 28, at 2 p.m. from Harvest Missionary Church with the Rev. Glenn Arnold officiating. The following gentlemen served as pallbearers: Brian Jones, Carter Jones, Connor Thompson, Jesse McElreath, Dusty Arnold, Hershel Defoor and Anthony Noland. Private interment was held in the Yukon Cemetery.
