Savannah Teresa Ray

Savannah Teresa Ray, 30, of Hixon, Tenn., passed away Saturday, Nov. 8, 2025, in the arms of her fiancé Kyle Daughtry. She was born in Ellijay, on Jan. 15, 1995, to Robert Mercer Ray, Jr. and Bibi Monica Ray. She was a high school presidential scholar, and earned an (LPN) degree from Dalton College. She continued coursework at Georgia Southern University in Savannah. Nursing was her passion and calling. This beautiful young woman was smart, creative and caring. She loved nature and particularly rescuing dogs.

Savannah is survived by mother, Bibi Ray and partner Bunk Elliott; father, Rob and wife, Peggy; fiancé, Kyle Daughtry; dog, Lila; sister Alicia Edna Ray Manchego, husband, Chad and sons, Leo and Liam; half-brother, Kenneth Robert Ray, wife, Karen and children Xak and Nova; half-brother, Jeffrey Mattison Ray and daughter, Lola; Aunt Silvya Scaglia and many friends. We will forever lovingly hold her memory within our hearts.

A celebration of life will be held at Bernhardt Funeral Home, located at 163 River Street, Ellijay, Sunday, Nov. 23, 2025, at 2 p.m. A visitation will be held for friends Sunday, Nov. 23, from 12 p.m., until the service hour of 2 p.m. We invite all who wish to share experiences and say "goodbye" with us to attend. Following the service, there will be no interment, she will be cremated.

In honor of her memory, the family is accepting flowers and food at the viewing.
