Jerry V. Wells, 84, of Ravenden, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2025, at his home.
He was born Nov. 11, 1940, to Buell and Edna Pearl Wells of Ravenden. He graduated from Williford High School in 1958, and was the owner of Wells Realty for most of his employed life. Some of his favorite things in life were his friends, anything involving horses, and especially his grandchildren. He was a longtime member of the Ravenden Church of Christ.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Buell Borden Wells; nephews, Mike Wells, Ricky Wells, Corey Wells, Blane Borden Wells; and son-in-law, James Ray "Bo" Martin.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy Sue Wells, of the home; daughters, Tena Martin of Ravenden and Beth (Aaron) Murphy of Imboden; son, Gary (Lesa and daughter Jessie) Wells of Morehead, Ky.; grandchildren, Derrick Wells, Gaven Martin, Ava, Luke, Taylor and Jett Murphy, and a great-granddaughter, Chelsea Wells. He is also survived by three brothers, James Ray Wells and Stephen Wells, both of Ravenden, and Roger Wells of Pocahontas; and one sister, Marilyn White of Searcy.
Visitation was Thursday, Oct. 30, from 2-3 p.m. at McNabb Funeral Home in Pocahontas. Funeral services followed at 3 p.m. with Aaron Murphy officiating. Burial will follow at a later date at Dail Cemetery in Ravenden.
Jerry's grandsons served as honorary pallbearers.
