Ray Dacus Obituary

Norris Ray Dacus, 90, died on Sept. 7, 2025, at his residence in Mountain Home.

Ray was born July 1, 1935, in Lorado, to Vernon A. and Doris Mae Burton Dacus. He retired from General Electric Company. Ray was very proud of his service in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Church of Christ. Ray will be missed by his brother, sisters, nieces, nephews, stepchildren, friends and family.

Preceding him in death are his parents; his wife, Peggy Andrews Dacus; his second wife, Joane Baldridge; and his brother, Jerry Dacus.

Left to mourn his passing are his brother, Roy (Debbie) Dacus; sisters, Doris Burdyshaw and Betty Mitchell; nieces and nephews, Dana (Don) Kennedy, Christie (Craig) Cook, Shawn (Heidi) Dacus, Steven Mitchell and Julie (Michael) Prince; Joane's children, Dianne (Dean) Petty and David Baldridge; and several great and great-great nieces and nephews.

Graveside services were held Wednesday, Sept. 10, at Lorado Cemetery in Lorado with Randy Britton officiating under the direction of House-Gregg Funeral Home of Walnut Ridge.
