Terry Lee "Twerp" Rainwater, 63, of Panacea, Fla., passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, Sept. 8, 2025.
He was born Jan. 8, 1962, in Walnut Ridge, to Richard and Laura (Garrison) Rainwater. Terry once worked for the City of Walnut Ridge. He enjoyed riding and working on motorcycles and cars. He loved cutting wood with his family, tending to two gardens each year, and, most of all, spending cherished time with his loved ones.
Terry was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Jack and Frank Stroud; sister, Faye (Stroud) Stormes; sister-in-law, Suzie (Stormes) Stroud; his granddaughter, Audrey Mae Rainwater; and brothers-in-law, Britt Thompson and Gene Hathcoat.
He is survived by his very loved life partner, Wanda Mahaffey; his sons, Allen (Amber) Rainwater of Pocahontas, Cory (Stephanie) Rainwater of Springdale, and Travis Rainwater of Oklahoma; his daughter, Kari (Jedidiah) Hyland of Denver; grandchildren, Spencer Trawick, Whitney Trawick, Audrey Rainwater and Austin George; five great-granddaughters; brothers, Clay Stroud, Stanley (Laverne) Rainwater and Randy Rainwater; sisters, Barbara Thompson, Sandra Hathcoat and Iola (Greg) Herschell; brother-in-law, Danny (Ruth) Stormes; sister-in-law, Wayvon Stroud; as well as many other friends and loved ones.
Services for Terry will be held Sunday, Oct. 26, at 1 p.m. at Duty Cemetery. Afterwards, friends and loved ones will gather at the O'Kean Community Center for a potluck, and to celebrate his life.
