Aaron Scott Brown, 57, of Richmond, VA, passed away on June 29, 2024. A graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University, Aaron worked for many years in the banking industry before launching his own construction business. Goofy, daring and headstrong, Aaron was a confident rugby player, cyclist and athlete, beloved by his friends and teammates. At home, Aaron was a silly, sensitive and kind husband and father, always happy to share his thoughts and feelings, and able to effortlessly pivot from dress-up to car repair. A capable handyman, Aaron regularly lent a hand to neighbors and volunteered on public projects at City schools, parks and bike paths. Aaron is survived by his beloved wife of 24 years, Winnie Tran Brown; children, Alexis Kathryn Brown and Carter Preston Brown; mother, Sharon Rae Bailey (James), who gifted him a lifelong love of nature; and his four-legged family, Atlas and Kenny. He is preceded in death by his father, Preston Eugene Brown; brother, Kyle Devon Brown.
A celebration of Aaron's life will take place 3 p.m. Saturday, July 6, 2024 at Bliley's, 8510 Staples Mill Road, Richmond, VA 23228, with family receiving friends one hour prior. I will always remember my buddy. He was always there for me on any level. I could reach out to him and have an ear, a champion of any cause I´d bear. He would motivate and be helpful with input. I felt most the time, standing there with him was even beyond a brother. At least as I knew it. We knew each other, never judged each other to hard,understood, recognized and could communicate even in complete silence. I am hopeful for you to be in eternal peace and love. Miss you

I remember a lot of wonderful things about Aaron...
I will share this one-
As I was in the home stretch of a 10k, hating every second of it, the finish line looking way too far away--- literally out of nowhere, I feel a presence next to me and a voice, "come on, Pascale, let's go!" and it was Aaron, and he ran me in. Anyone who runs or has run a race knows how much that helps... he gave me that little extra, like an angel ...
