Addison Lewis Obituary
Addison, 81, of Mechanicsville, went to be with the Lord Monday, July 29, 2024. Born to the late Carlis and Eula Clark Lewis in Farnham, VA, he is survived by his wife of 54 years, Patricia M. Lewis; daughters, Patricia Faye Lewis, Angela Gail Lewis-Childress, and Nancy Ann Lewis-Robinson (Christopher); son, Addison Wayne Lewis (Gayle); and three grandchildren, Ashley Childress, and Garrett and Everett Robinson. Addison was a US Army Vietnam Veteran.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday at the Mechanicsville Chapel of the Bennett Funeral Home, 8014 Lee-Davis Rd. Services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, August 2, 2024 at Oakland U.M.C., 3223 Oakland Road, Farnham, VA 22460. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to Oakland, U.M.C.

Our family has gotten to know yours over the recent years. I really enjoyed taking with you both and seeing you both daily. Your husband was a truly wonderful man and is missed terribly. We at the Barbour house are very sorry for your family's loss.

Mrs. Lewis, I was so sorry to learn today about your husband's passing. My wife and I live in Hanover Grove, and we always loved seeing the two of you at the intersection leading into Laurel Meadows Elementary, with you directing traffic and Addison kindly waving from the car as you directed us out. Such a kind man, and we share in your loss.

Pat and Family. I am sorry to hear of this. While I really did not know him I would always stop to wave at him as you were directing traffic. He always had a big smile as he waved. Hugs and Prayers to you and the family. <3
