Alma Walker

1926 - 2025

Mrs. Alma Fleming Walker, age 99, of Richmond, Virginia, passed away at her home on Wednesday, December 10, 2025.

She was born in Warren County, North Carolina on July 13, 1926. She was the fifth of sixteen children born to Sol Benjamin and Myrtle Stallings Fleming.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred B. Walker, who died on December 5, 2004.

Mrs. Walker is survived by two sons, Robert Walker (Debbie) of Deltaville, Virginia, and Fred Walker, Jr. (Donnie) of White Stone, Virginia, and two daughters, Evelyn Brown (Bob), of Henrico, Virginia, and Susan Walker Nash of Manakin-Sabot, Virginia, nine grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Walker is also survived by three sisters, Mildred Morrison, Irma Gard, and Ann Spence, and one brother, Bill Fleming.

Her family enjoyed many wonderful times through the years at Freddy's and Alma's homes in Deltaville and later in White Stone.

She was fortunate to receive loving care from Christine, Taylor, and Lay-Lay during her later years when she needed assistance.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at Hollywood Cemetery, 412 South Cherry Street, Richmond, where she will be laid to rest beside her husband Freddy.
