Andrew Bordonie Obituary

Andrew "Melvin" Bordonie Sr., 74, of Sandston, passed away Sunday, July 6, 2003. He is survived by his four children, Melvin Jr., Mike and Joe Bordonie and Kathy Mason; a stepson, Richard Craddock; three brothers, Bubba, Leroy and Bobbie Bordonie; two sisters, Irene Johnson and Pete Horton; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Melvin was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police No. 4, Babcock Lodge No. 322 A.F.&A.M., Sandston Moose Lodge No. 1937, American Legion Post No. 144, and Sandston Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 8529. He also served in the Army and the Air Force. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 South Laburnum Avenue, where a celebration of his life will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday. Interment Oakwood Cemetery.
