Angela Alexander Obituary
Angela retired from her career as a medical secretary, having worked at the Medical College of Virginia and medical practices in the local area. In retirement, she volunteered at St. Mary's Hospital. She also enjoyed traveling, returning many times to her beloved Trieste. As a member of the Yankee Point Yacht Club for years, Angela loved to sail aboard her "Trieste II". After moving to Lakewood, she joined The Gayton Kirk Presbyterian Church where her commitment to volunteering continued.
Angela was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Julian M. Alexander, her sister Lavinia Parker and her brother-in-law Ned Parker. She is survived by her daughter Lavinia Alexander and son-in-law Christian Haas, devoted nephews Roy Parker (Pam), Raymond Parker (Anne-Huston) and their families, and her niece di cuore, Roberta Meredith (Brad) and their family.
Her family would like to thank the community of Lakewood for the kindness and care shown to Angela over the years. She counted many of you as friends.
Donations may be made in her memory to a charity of your choice.

Angela I will miss you so much. Our over 40 year relationship has been so special. Our many sailing trips, shopping trips & flights to visit Elke in FL. I know you're in a happy place & leave me with great memories & I'll see you again.

Dear Family, I knew Angela from the Gayton Kirk when I lived in Richmond. I moved to NC 9 years ago but still remember the lovely good bye note she sent me. She was a very special person.
