Angie Mitchell Gose

Angie Mitchell Gose, age 87, of Rocky Mount, died Monday, January 17, 2005. She was a loving and busy mother, participating in many children's and youth activities with her daughter. She was born January 24, 1917, a daughter of the late A.B. and Pearl David Mitchell and was preceded in death by her husband, John David Gose. Surviving are her daughter, Frances Young of Mechanicsville; sisters and brother-in-law, Georgie Angle of Rocky Mount, Frances and Calvin Holland of Martinsville, Jean Mitchell of Penhook; brother, Herbert Mitchell of Penhook; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel, 2 p.m. Wednesday with Rev. Rick Poland and Rev. Joe Dillon officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. The family suggests in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to Carilion Hospice Services of Franklin County, 180 Floyd Ave., Rocky Mount, Va. 24151; or American Cancer Society, 9 East Church Ave., Roanoke Va., 24011. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Flora Funeral Service, S. Main St., Rocky Mount.
