Anne was born in Norfolk, Virginia on November 24, 1945 to Anne Cresswell Satchell and Charles Edward Satchell. She graduated from Norfolk Collegiate School then Old Dominion University, where she majored in chemistry and medical technology. While at Old Dominion, she met the love of her life, Robert Lewis Boggs (Lew), and they were married in 1967. She loved to read, travel with her husband and friends, play bridge and mahjong, cook, cheer on her grandchildren in their various activities, and spoil her succession of grand-dogs. Her happy place was Kiawah Island, South Carolina with her family taking walks, reading books, playing golf, and enjoying family meals together.
