Anne Shelton Obituary
Born and raised in Richmond, Anne's life was a testament to her love for her community and her commitment to making it a better place for everyone. She was devoted to her family and friends.
She is predeceased by her daughter, Cynthia Lynn Shelton Buchanan and parents, John Timothy Moss and Viola Hoogensen Moss and brother, John Timothy Moss Jr. She is survived by her son, Elliot Clyde Shelton III (Chip); her grandsons, Logan and Andrew Buchanan; and many extended family who will carry forward her values of kindness and community service.
Anne's legacy is one of friendship, compassion, and dedication. She was a true friend to both young and old, always ready to offer a listening ear, a kind word, or a warm smile. Her presence in the lives of those who knew her was a blessing, and her absence will be deeply felt.
A visitation to celebrate Anne's life will be held on July 12 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Bon Air Christian Church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Anne's memory to Trinity Episcopal School or Patrick Henry School, continuing her legacy of giving and service.

Chip, We are so sorry, but we did not realize your mom passed away until now. What a marvelous lady and a true friend to our family over many years! There is no doubt she magnified the rays of sunshine in heaven. We wish peaceful hearts for you and your family.

We were privileged to have known Anne for over 40 years. She was a wonderful neighbor. We will miss her stories of old Southside, her advice on life, her witty remarks, and her sweet, gentle friendship. She was a remarkable lady and an inspiration.
