Antonio W. Lightfoot

LIGHTFOOT, Antonio W., "Tony", departed this life November 12, 2023. With saddened and broken hearts, we are returning to GOD, our "BELOVED" Antonio "Tony" Wayne Lightfoot. He was called Tony, Foot, and Black, but most importantly, he was called Dad, Papa, Son, Brother, Uncle, Nephew, Cousin and Friend. He was loved by so many and he was known greatly for his personality and charm. Tony was all about family and his love for them.

He was preceded in death by his son, Thomas Bradley. He leaves to cherish his wonderful memorys his baby girl, Tonay; grandson, Emanuel "Manny Man" Ivey; fiancée, Etosha Watkins; her daughter, Shay Watkins; her grandchildren, Penelope Mason and Jace Mason; his mother, Francine Johnson (Marvin); father, Wayne Lightfoot (Anita); stepfather, Michael Johnson; brother, Michael Johnson II; sisters, TeQuila Connors (Terry), Angela and Alexa Lightfoot; nephews, Ayden Whitehead and Michael Johnson III; two goddaughters, Jamariah and Jordyn Champion; bonus daughter, Cartasia Johnson; and bonus granddaughters, Calaya Harris and Corrine Tucker-Bradley.

He also leaves to cherish a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, among those a devoted friend, Jamone Champion, his "Best Friend" from birth, his ride or die partner, and the godfather of his daughter, Tonay. Jamone has been with Tony through thick and thin and never wavered. Other devoted friends include Jason Whitehead and Ashley Harris; and Tony's Angels, Angelique Coles-Johnson, Tanaquil Mosby and Katina Watson. Because "Tony" has touched so many lives, we cannot begin to name everyone.

For those that are used to seeing verbiage (accolades) about a person's life, we decided that if you knew "Tony" – you already know all about him, his life, his style, and his love. There are not enough words in the English Language to describe him.

Remains rest at Walter J. Manning Funeral Home, 700 N. 25th St., where the family will receive friends Friday, November 24, 2023, from 5 to 7 p.m., and where funeral services will be held Saturday, November 25, 2023, at 1 p.m. Interment Hanover Memorial Park Cemetery.
