Archie Tellough Goodwin Jr.

June 11, 1938 - November 2, 2025

Archie Tellough Goodwin Jr., 87, of Richmond, VA., passed in his sleep Sunday morning, November 2, 2025. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gladys Boxley Goodwin, Archie Goodwin Sr., his beautiful wife, Patricia Mills Goodwin, and many close friends that were a huge part of his life. He is survived and loved by his daughter, Angelia Goodwin.

Born in Louisa County in 1938, Archie farmed with his father, played varsity baseball and graduated from Louisa County High School in 1956. He went on to attend Richmond Professional Institute. In 1959 he married the love of his life, Patricia Mills and they settled in Richmond.

Archie spent most of his life working in the automotive equipment business as a manufacturer's agent, and business owner. His entrepreneurial achievements, partnerships and customers were his life's passion. Archie was also an avid sports fan and was a Spider Basketball season ticket holder for more than 50 years. He loved to cook, eat good food, entertain and spend time at his river home with family and friends.

A celebration of Archie's life will be held November 21, 2025 at 4 p.m. at Woody Funeral Home, 1771 North Parham Road, Richmond, VA.

Yesterday

I met Archie in September 1944 as we both entered 1st Grade. We last spoke about 2 years ago and decided to meet up, however time erased that. Louisa grew some pretty good people and Archie was definately one of them. God-Bless.
