Audrey Ann Cochran

COCHRAN, Audrey Ann, age 33, passed away on Monday, January 22, 2024, to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Born May 19, 1990, in Richmond, Virginia, she is survived by her father, Thomas O. Cochran, her aunt Annette Marie Logan (Pete), her uncle Clarence L. Cochran, and six cousins. She was preceded in death by her mother, Deborah Hall Cochran, and grandparents.

Audrey attended both George Wythe High School and Huguenot High School in Richmond, Virginia before completing her diploma. A devout Christian, she was an active member of Shalom Baptist Church and, later, Cornerstone Christian Church.

Audrey was a kind and gentle spirit who loved life and loved to laugh. From a young age, she knew that she wanted to be a writer. She wrote short stories and poems of simple, quiet observations throughout her life. In 2017 she published Words of Life, a book of Christian inspirational poetry. When she wasn't reading or writing, she crocheted. A skilled artisan, she used her creative gifts to create lovely and unique objects such as animals, toys, scarves, hats, and blankets for her family and friends including her much beloved service dog, Miyah. Audrey was also an enthusiastic fan of the British science fiction series "Doctor Who" and enjoyed attending Comic-Con.

A memorial service to honor her well-lived life will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, February 2, 2024, at Shalom Baptist Church, 8116 Walnut Grove Road, Mechanicsville, VA 23111. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Shalom Baptist Church or directly to the family.
