Barbara C. Cook

COOK, Barbara C., 85, of Chesterfield, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 26, 2023. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joe "Red" Cook; brother, Dickie Cook; sister, Shirley Cook; and her godchildren, Lin Woodfin and Gail Woodfin Felts. She is survived by her brother, John Cook (Susan); sister-in-law, Sandra Cook; nephews, Paul Cook and John Murden Jr.; nieces, Kimberly Cook, Betsy Loeb and Bonnie Cook; goddaughter, Dawn Toney (Wade). Many other family members and friends have also shared in Barbara's loving life. She was a member of Weatherford Baptist Church and Central Baptist Church where she was recently ordained as Deacon. Barbara also retired from C&P Telephone Co. after 30 years of service. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, March 30, 2023 at Bliley's – Chippenham, 6900 Hull Street Rd. Her funeral service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, March 31, 2023 at Central Baptist Church, 1500 Courthouse Rd., N. Chesterfield, Va. 23236. Interment will follow in Dale Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to Central Baptist Church.
