Barry Wayne Buchanan

February 12, 1954 - November 27, 2024

Barry Wayne Buchanan, 70, of Naples, Florida, passed away peacefully on November 27, 2024. Born on February 12, 1954, in Martinsville, Virginia, Barry was the son of the late Hawthorne and Roberta Buchanan.

Barry grew up in Richmond Virginia, where he developed a deep love for racing, fishing and boating. Barry embraced the joy and thrill of the outdoors.

He is survived by his children: Angela Wood (Marty), Jennifer Merino (Christian), and Jake Buchanan. Grandchildren Bria and Shayla Merino. His siblings Vern Buchanan (Charlotte), Randy Buchanan (Mary), and Debbie Buchanan (Bobby), as well as many nieces, and nephews.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date to honor Barry's life.

In lieu of flowers, the family invites you to honor Barry's memory with a donation to the Alzheimer's Association or the American Cancer Society.
