Benjamin Chaney Obituary

Benjamin Alexander Chaney of Lynchburg, Va., departed this life on October 17, 2004 at his residence. A native of Danville, Va., he was the son of the late James Isaac Chaney Sr. and the late Sadie White Chaney. He is survived by his daughter, Maria of New York City; two brothers, Rev. Dr. Bernard K. Chaney of Richmond, Va. and Dennis S. Chaney of Martinsville, Va.; two sisters, Rev. Lillie Chaney-Adams and Bernice Chaney-Schowers, both of Danville, Va.; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 29, 2004 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel at the Cunningham & Hughes Funeral Home, 351 Holbrook St., Danville, Va. The family and friends are asked to assemble at the funeral home at 1:45 p.m.
