Randy was always great company and a great friend to me. He helped guide me through life issues and would share his take on any situation which arose. He also was my tennis doubles partner and a founding member of the FBTL. He also had a great sense of humor. I never left his company without a smile on my face. I will sorely miss him. RIP brother Randy.

Love you so, my bro. Thank you for being my rock and my touchstone, always there for me and for everyone you loved. So happy you had found Karen and loved your life and new home. So heartbroken they did not fix you in time. Thank you for being the absolute best brother, uncle and brother- in -law a family could ever hope for. Rest in peace, beloved brother of mine. I miss you so much already, it hurts.
Prayers, gratitude and hugs to the wonderful Karen Luebs Wellford who did absolutely all she could, and loved Rand unconditionally and with her whole heart, and so so much patience.
Prayers and all our love to daughter Rachel. What a blessing that you all were in touch despite the distance.
Prayers and love to all our family and friends who knew and loved the one & only
B. R.W., Jr. - not always easy, but 100% worth it. Our world will never be the same without him.
Love you to the moon and back B.R.

I met Randy (and the rest of the Delaware "MTBOYZ") in 2000. As the only two riders from Richmond, Randy and I had the pleasure of carpooling together on our annual rides. Those were some of the best 2-3 hours of conversation I've had in my entire life. From Plato to pizza to pre-history to politics to planing-hull sailboats, Randy's intelligence, curiosity and wit were matched only by his empathy and love for the rest of the world. He was the quintessential "good egg" and I loved him dearly. We will miss him more than can be said here, and send much love to all of his family and friends. --Phil & Dana
