Beverly Edmonds Obituary

EDMONDS Beverly (Bev) Gray Edmonds Jr., age 45, of Henrico County, passed away on Monday, April 2, 2007. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Tracy; his son, Andrew; his daughter, Diane; his parents, A.J. and Janice Ward; a special aunt, Ella Seay; his mother-in-law, Jerrie Dunaway; his father-in-law, Rev. William R. Dunaway and his wife, Lynn Dunaway; his sisters-in-law and brother-in-law and their families, Tom and Claire Berryhill and children, Zoe and Bella, Joe and Dorothy Zborek and children, Noah, Surrender and Joseph, Ronald and Donna Stroud; and many more family members and friends. Bev was known to many in the area as "The Christmas Light Guy" with Lucky the Christmas Dog and Harry the Holiday Hound. His family's home has been on the Tacky Light tour for over 15 years. Sharing his festive spirit with others brought him many years of joy. He would start decorating for the Christmas extravaganza as soon as Halloween had come and gone. You would find Bev out in the rain, sleet, or snow putting his heart into each and every strand of light that he put in place. He also would take Lucky into the tour buses and limos and would tell the story of how Lucky was rescued by them from the SPCA on Lucky's very last day to be rescued. Bev was a very sincere and caring individual and many had the honor to share in his life. He was greatly loved and will be greatly missed. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bank of America, Gayton Crossing, for his children. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Tracy and Family, I am so sorry for your loss. I remember Bev coming to Wood Equipment always with a smile on his face, usually with a story about one of his exotic creatures...He will certainly be missed. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

Bev was Mr. Clean to some of us at Electronic Systems. Bev would come into the office daily to clean. He was always very friendly, trustworthy and aware of who his customer were. I used to talk with him daily as he would come by my desk. We'll miss him.
