Brian Wilson Obituary

WILSON, Brian T., 50, of Henrico, Va., passed away on July 5, 2021. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald F. Wilson; and nephew, Alexander Wilson. He is survived by his loving wife, Amy Trobaugh Wilson; two children, Liam and Skylar; mother, Catherine A. Wilson; his siblings, Coleen, Kevin, Timothy, Maureen, Christine and Noreen; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family who adored him dearly. On July 12, 1995, Brian started his career as a Henrico County Police Officer, serving proudly and honorably for 26 years, through various assignments, earning his way up to rank of Captain. Brian was a huge animal lover, as well as his neighborhood's event planner. He was known to have a great sense of humor. He would always do what he could to help anyone. He was our protector. Brian's greatest achievement was being a super dad to his two children and would proudly talk about them every chance he had. Brian has left this world a better place than he found it. The family will receive friends at St. Michael's Catholic Church at 4491 Springfield Road, on Friday, July 9, 2021, from 5 to 8 p.m., where a Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, July 10, 2021 at 10 a.m. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Baldrick's Foundation for Childhood Cancer, a charity Brian personally supported.

Dear Amy, Liam, and Skylar:
Words are inadequate consolation, but please know you will forever be in our hearts and thoughts. You do not walk alone, the 22nd Academy, the Narcotics Unit, and all of HPD are by your side.

Peace be with you,

Paul

Amy, Liam and Skylar we so sorry for your loss. We had such good times on road trips with Brian and Kevin to the baseball games to see the Yankees play. Who can forget the times at the Irish festival and you couldn't leave until you watch Brian get his head shaved for Cancer research for which he raised money. He protected all us by serving the police department which I'm so grateful. Now he will be your guardian angel looking over you until you all meet again. If you need anything we are hear for you, just pick up the phone.

Good bless you all,

Yancey Taylor
