When I was in high school in 1971 my friend Sheila Sykes and I sold Mr. Brooks an add for our high school yearbook. I wouldn't have thought of selling and add to a funeral home. He was very kind to us.

I remember Mr. Brooks from when I worked at Lerners in Southside Plaza. His funeral home was down Hull street where my grandmother lived.
Mr. Brooks was a kind and sweet man always friendly and helpful.
May God bless the family with the hope of the resurrection and eternal life.

To Carla & Family,
Sending you sincere condolences in the passing of your dad. I always enjoyed seeing Mr. Brooks with you hanging out at Golden Corral or back in the days of Cloverleaf Mall I used to chat with him and his "homies" (as I called them) sitting on the bench watching people walking by. Rest in Heaven now, Mr. Brooks!

Mr Brooks was a nice soft spoken man. I have been to different restaurants like Send A Chef, P T Brown Restaurant, Cloverleaf Mall and always encountered a nice connection with him. I just found out yesterday, that he has passed. Wow, he’s been around a long time. I’m sending condolences to his family. Rest on Mr Brooks. Job well done
