Beverly, I was so sorry to learn of your mother's passing. Do you remember the year our mother's tried to pull a surprise 16th birthday party for us ?? We were at your home and refusing to ride over to the party.. I remember your mother being so supportive, loving and totally involved in all your undertakings. Your mother is a gem and much loved.
Blessings, Lin Croasdale McLean

Beverly,
If I remember one thing about Ruthie "Momma" Fields it was that she was a friend to ALL! Her door was always open to anyone in the neighborhood or community, and a sign hung on her door: "Welcome Friends". She never judged a soul--good or bad. She was a great listener and repected everyone for who they were. Her favorite comments were: "Everything's lovely, honey" and "No big deal, no big deal, hon". We could all benefit living by some of this wisdom "Mamma Fleds" shared from her back porch or as she walked the neighborhood with the post man. We love you Ruthie--you'll be missed, but you will be God's "greeter" to others.

Diane,
It's been a long time since we played together at Nanny Smith's house the year Father (Arlen) was in Vietnam.
I am so sorry to hear about Ruth. Mother died year before last and is also buried at Arlington. I am taking Father up there in Feb to visit her grave. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Beverly Diane,
We are so sorry and sad at your Mom's passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. Ruth was one of our favorite people and what a joy when we were in her company. She was a treasure to us here on McHenry's Creek and we missed her when she left. She made us laugh, she could make us cry and she always made having a cup of coffee with her an event. She has never left our hearts and we are so much better off because we knew her.
