Dan and Pat were wonderful donors to the UW Odyssey Project (odyssey.wisc.edu), and I enjoyed having lunch with them at Capitol Lakes and hearing their stories. Their love of each other filled the room. Condolences to Pat and family, but congratulations also on Dan's remarkable 100 years surrounded by love and purpose!

I knew Dan from the UW Chemistry Dept as an emeritus professor. and my heart goes out to his wife, Pat. We met Pat and Dan on the bus coming back from the opera and became good friends for many years until I moved. We helped them move to the assisted living downtown. After they moved we shared several meals together. I will never forget their activism and charitable work.
