TO THE FAMILY OF DR. CHARLES CUMMINGS:

I WAS SADDENED TO LEARN OF DR. CUMMINGS DEATH. AS A NURSE AT RICHMOND MEMORIAL HOSPITAL FROM 1972-1983, I HAD THE PRIVILEGE OF KNOWING DR. CUMMINGS, HE WAS A MOST KIND AND GENTLE MAN, NOT ONLY TO HIS PATIENTS, BUT ALSO TO THE NURSING STAFF. IT WAS MY HONOR TO HAVE KNOWN THIS WONDERFIL MAN.

Dr. Cummings left an impression of compassion and fairness upon me some 20 years ago at WKIE. That compassion, and his way of being the kind soul that he was, will truly be missed. My condolences to the family. God Bless.

Caramel and I extend our prayers and deepest sympathy to family and friends. Dr Cummings' life touched this world, specifically the Richmond community, in a way no other could. His intellect, quiet disposition, sympathetic bedside manners, success as a physician and pioneering spirit as a Maggie L. Walker "academic elite" set new standards that will continue to inspire generations of our youths toward personal excellence. May the memories of "Doc" that we all hold dear be your strength today and the tomorrows!
