Charles Felker Obituary

FELKER, Charles A., 91, of Mechanicsville, went to be with the Lord on September 28, 2022. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ann Hope Felker; as well as two sisters. He is survived by his children, Linda Peebles (Bob), Chip Felker (Sherry) and Tommy Felker (Cheryl); grandchildren, Suzanne (Rusty), Elizabeth, Ryan, Sarah (Aaron), Corbin (Kim), Luke (Katie), Travis (Elizabeth) and Morgan (Logan); 15 great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Sublett; as well as many nieces and nephews who will miss his presence in their lives. Charles was someone who loved to be in the company of other people, and continued to work after retiring from 35 years with IBM, so that he could be with the public. He especially loved working for Coleman Brothers Florist, delivering flowers. Charles also adored travelling with Ann to anywhere their whim took them. He was a devout Christian, as well as a loving husband, father and grandfather. The family will receive friends 10 a.m. Friday, October 7, at Hopeful Baptist Church, 14340 Hopeful Church Road, in Montpelier. A celebration of his life will follow at 11 a.m. For condolences, see www.blileys.com.
