Charles Riddick

Charles Vernon Riddick, 92, of Chesterfield, VA, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on March 25, 2026. He was preceded in death by his wife, June Riddick, son, Gordon Riddick, parents, Vernon and Lillian Riddick, sisters, Patricia Parker and Brenda Smith, and several nieces and nephews. He is survived by his daughters, Gail Arnold (Carl) and Becky Fisher (Ray); grandchildren, Justin Fisher and Ana Arnold; sister, Ernestine Baggett, brother-in-law, Mike Smith; and several nieces and nephews. He served his country in the US Army during the Korean War and in the U.S. Army Reserves where he retired with the rank of CWO4; he also served in civilian service working for the 80th Division U.S. Army Reserves and finally retiring from the U.S. Army Troop Support Agency at Fort Lee. He was a long-time member of Oak Grove Baptist Church, North Chesterfield, where he held many leadership positions (Deacon, Prayer Team Lead, Missions Team Lead, Church Leadership Team, Building Team, just to name a few). He led / served with mission teams in Bahamas, Guatemala, Wales, United States, and West Africa. He was a member of Gideon's International, South Chesterfield. He was passionate about sharing God's love and his gift of salvation to those he met and loved helping others through his mission projects.

The family will receive visitors on Sunday, March 29, 2026, at Morrissett Funeral Home, 6500 Iron Bridge Road, North Chesterfield, VA 23234, from 3 pm to 5 pm. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 am on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at Oak Grove Baptist Church (OGBC), 3801 Beulah Road, North Chesterfield, VA 23237, followed by a graveside service at Dale Memorial Park, 10201 Newbys Bridge Road, Chesterfield, VA 23832. In lieu of flowers, the family asked that contributions be made to OGBC Missions Fund, Gideons International, or an organization of your choice that supports the work of Christian ministry.
