Clarice Mae Newman

Clarice Mae Newman, 83, of Fairfax, Va., died Sunday, April 18, 2004. She was the daughter of the late Robert Baskerville Newman and Lula Green Capps Newman. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Claude Newman Sr., Robert B. (Butler) Newman, Wallace Newman and Zollie Newman; and her sisters, Mary Louise Newman and Zela N. Blair. She is survived by two nephews, Walter Newman of Norlina, N.C. and Claude Newman Jr. of Falls Church, Va.; a niece, Ann N. Fleming of Lawrenceville, Ga.; and a sister-in-law, Mrs. Claude (Lucille) Newman Sr. of Norlina, N.C. Miss Newman was a member of the Norlina United Methodist Church. She graduated from Norlina High School and was employed by the Corbitt Co. in Henderson, N.C. She then moved to Richmond where she was employed by the City of Richmond, Virginia Department of General Services until her retirement. The family will receive friends at Blaylock Funeral Home in Warrenton at 1 p.m. on Friday, April 23, 2004 followed by funeral services at Blaylock Funeral Home. Interment will be at Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery in Oine, N.C.
